The Museum of 6th Extinction
How does the sixth mass extinction occur? We can't witness all of it with our own eyes. But in my museum, you can observe these events and visit the sites in person. This museum is not yet complete. Please look forward to its opening in the second half of next year.

sixth extintion
The museum is composed of six sections, each room showcasing a different cause of extinction.
Habitat loss
Humans have converted 40% of the Earth's land for food production, which has led to deforestation and habitat fragmentation.
Invasive species
Non-native species introduced to new environments can outcompete, prey on, or bring diseases to native species, leading to population declines.
Pollution
Animals are dying from climate change as wildfires become more frequent due to a lack of precipitation and higher temperatures.
Over hunting
Many animals, such as whales, elephants, rhinos, and tigers, are now rare due to past heavy hunting.
Climate change
For instance climate change intensifies wildfires, leading to habitat destruction and contributing to the extinction of various plant and animal species.
Disease
The spread of infectious diseases, often exacerbated by human activities and climate change, poses significant threats to vulnerable species.

White Model
The exterior of the museum leaves a striking impression. The entrance is designed to lead visitors through the skull of the extinct saber-toothed tiger, while the building's facade is surrounded by a symbolic representation of elephant ivory piles, highlighting the issue of poaching.

Concept Sketch
The interior elements of the building, such as staircase railings and ceiling structures, are all inspired by animal bones.
I sketched patterns of osteoporotic bone architecture and used an AI modeling tool to transform them into 3D structures.
02 Audio Guide
I incorporated explanatory audio guides into my displays. Each number corresponds to an audio track, guiding visitors through a sequential storytelling experience as they explore the museum.
03 Unreal Engine
The museum's ground features five distinct paint materials, each tailored to its environment and seamlessly connected. Black burnt dirt transitions into brown sand, blending with white drought sand at the center, while green grass connects using sandy mixed grass paint.
The post-process volume is configured to enhance the mood and atmosphere in each room.
